I actually really loved your list of HGs. The HG Barbatos is special because it sports a simple, but full inner frame.
HG kits usually have a partial inner frame that uses polycaps inside of clam shell chassis parts, like the torso to tie the Gunpla together.
Generally, RG and MG kits come with a full inner frame and relatively complex assembly. The Inner Frame on the Barbatos isn’t ultra-complex, but it’s one of a few (the only one to my knowledge) that sports a full inner frame, which is really cool. Once I worry about my backlog, I’ll certainly be picking one up.
I might also suggest the new HGCE Freedom Gundam, brought to celebrate the anniversary of Gundam SEED, and bring the Freedom into the current Era. I’m working on this right now. It’s not overly complex, but is a great representation of its on-screen counterpart.
Happy Holidays Gunpla Builders!
After Christmas came around I actually got a RG 00 raiser, would you recommend that to a person who’s never built a rg before as a starting rg kit?
Jace, my usual advice is to build Gunpla that you think look AWESOME. Even if they’re above your skill level, your passion will help you rise to the level you need to finish the project.
