Gunpla Pre-orders and New Releases for November-December 2022

If you’re like us, you’re deep into Holiday Shopping Mode by now. As usual, there are plenty of Gunpla gifts out there, too! If you want to buy somebody the gift of expertise, Studio G is selling a Gunpla master class. This is controversial for some reason and Gunpla 101 contributor Jonlyn had a good write-up of the drama on her blog. Our take: it’s not gatekeeping Gunpla to offer a class and tools for money when there’s already plenty of free Gunpla-building info out there (cough cough Gunpla101.com cough)! I bet taking a master class like this is way more hands-on and will help you accelerate your building journey if that’s what you want. By the way, Jonlyn also has a shop full of unique Gunpla gifts if you’re looking to buy something one-of-a-kind this year!

SDW Heroes Sun Quan Gundam Astray Kakuenshoko (pictured above)

Is it just me, or do these SD World Heroes suits get more over the top every time? This variation on the Astray comes with four katana and appears to be engulfed in flames. Though SDs are cheap and quick to build, it’ll take a lot of panel-lining to make this one look like the example pic.

1/144 HG Dilanza (General Type)

This is another variation of Guel’s mobile suit, presumably also built by the Jeturk Heavy Machinery company that controls so much of the behind-the-scenes politics of G-Witch. With a single fin in the center of his head, this is certainly some type of commander.
